PUSH Perfect was born from more than 20 years of firsthand experience in the fitness industry and one driving mission: helping people stay active, live longer, and enjoy a higher quality of life.

For founder Demetric Curry, that mission is deeply personal. A man of faith, devoted husband, and father of two, Demetric understands that health isn't just about performance. It's about having the strength, energy, and mobility to fully show up for the people who matter most.

A former collegiate football player at Florida State University, Demetric built his life around movement, performance, and helping others unlock their full potential. His career began in a hospital-based strength and conditioning environment, helping athletes recover, rebuild, and improve performance.

But over time, his work expanded beyond athletes and into personal training, gym leadership, and entrepreneurship. Having spent time as a general manager at multiple gyms, Demetric gained a unique perspective on what drives long-term success in fitness — and why some members stay committed while others quietly give up.

People joined gyms motivated to get healthier, stronger, and create lasting change, but many found traditional workouts discouraging, uncomfortable, or out of reach.

Exercises like push-ups, while simple in theory, became a source of frustration for older adults, beginners, clients recovering from injury, and even capable individuals dealing with joint discomfort, mobility limitations, or reduced upper body strength.

Not because they lacked motivation.
Because they lacked the right support.

As co-owner and Lead Trainer of Lighthouse for Health and Wellness, Demetric saw this challenge play out again and again.

The desire was there.
The traditional tools just weren't meeting people where they were.

That led to one defining question:

How can I make this movement more achievable without taking away the benefits of the exercise?

That question became the foundation for PUSH Perfect.

What began as a solution to make push-ups more accessible evolved into something much bigger: a versatile fitness innovation designed to help people move with greater confidence, train more effectively, and stay active longer.

For Demetric, this was never just about solving one exercise challenge. It was about removing barriers that keep people from experiencing the life-changing benefits of movement.
